Are you ready?

We have started allocating Allotment Gardens!

Planning permission has been submitted for Fairfields Gardens Allotment site and the ETA is April this year! We have started allocating the Allotment Gardens to people who are already successfully registered on the interest list and will be sending out offers of Allotment Gardens later this week by email.

If you are offered an Allotment Garden you will be need to pay the £50 Tenancy deposit in order to secure your place. If you are unable to pay the deposit by the deadline stipulated in your offer email, the offer will be retracted and we will offer it to the next person on the waiting list.

People who do not receive an offer of an Allotment Garden will automatically be placed on the waiting list. Don’t worry places may come available with time and there is a second allotment site planned for Fairfields in the future.

We will be publishing the Rules and Regulations soon, please read these before you commit to an Allotment Garden so you fully understand what is involved and the restrictions in place.

TENANCY RATES

Medium size Allotment Gardens (approx. 125 sq metres) are £55 a year.

Small Allotment Gardens (approx. 75 sq metres) are £40 a year.

Each Tenancy requires a deposit of £50 which is refundable at the termination of Tenancy in guidance with the Rules and Regulations.

Latest Plans

After an update from Milton Keynes Council, the Allotments are now estimated to open spring 2020 but GOOD NEWS we are ready to start allocating Allotment Gardens!

The plans show some new developments to the design with a dedicated fenced off space for a community garden and the community orchard. Plans include a vast range of fruit and nut trees as well as a beautifully diverse hedgerow including loganberries and sloes.

Fairfields Gardens

At the beginning of the year we ran a competition with Fairfields Primary School to come up with a name and logo for our first allotment site. We were delighted with the entries and combined the lovely ideas of three winners!
